WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT – Westchester Adventure Boot Camp, in Somers

Sometimes the hardest part of working out isn't finding the right gym or picking out the comfiest (or cutest) pair of cross-trainers, it's getting motivated. But the women at the Westchester Adventure Boot Camp, helmed by personal trainer Carla Braca, don't have that problem. Without getting too militant (it's hard to be overly serious when you're leading dance aerobics to Def Leopard), Braca keeps her recruits on task through weightlifting, jumping jacks, and obstacle-course runs. Although boot camp is grittier than the gym-during warm weather they train on the blacktop and open fields in Reis Park-the workout is for women of all ages and abilities, and Braca emphasizes that she's there to motivate, not force you to do more than you can handle.
